Welcome to The Writer’s Bloc: Community and CreativityWriting on the Wall’s new online writing centre – a virtual centre dedicated to writing in all its forms across the Liverpool City Region.

The Writer’s Bloc is a digital space responding to the mental health and social emergency arising out of Covid-19. The Bloc will help people to share stories and experiences during this pandemic, develop new writing skills, reduce social isolation and support the arts industry across the Liverpool City region. Combining social engagement with activism and literature the Writer’s Bloc is a unique online writing centre that looks to find new ways to connect people now, to be followed by a live, physical Writer’s Bloc in the future.

Following on from Yvonne Battle-Felton, Anthony Anaxagorou, Cash Carraway and Ailsa Cox we are delighted to welcome our current Writer On The Bloc, hip hop artist and political campaigner, Lowkey. Lowkey’s residency runs from the 14th September until the 2nd October and you can use the windows below to find out more about the exciting activity taking place and how to get involved.
