Kevin Dyer is our new Writer on the Bloc
We are excited to announce our new Writer on the Bloc, award winning playwright Kevin Dyer. Joining us from 22nd February 2021 for a three-week residency, we can't wait to see all of the exciting events Kevin is bringing to the Bloc.
Kevin Dyer is a multi-form writer (drama, different-length prose, page and performance poetry) but makes his living from being a playwright. He is the winner of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Play for Children and Young People, Inspirational Playwright Award by ASSITEJ International, UK Theatre Award for Best Play and twice winner of the Olwen Wymark Award. He writes plays for children, young people, and adults. He is interested in visual theatre and well-crafted plays. He works frequently as a dramaturg and has addressed the Canadian Society of Dramaturgs. He is currently commissioned to write four plays, and is one of the leaders of Storm in the North Theatre.
Featuring a range of discussions, workshops, bloc socials and one-on-one creative opportunities, it’s going to be a brilliant residency at the Writer's Bloc. Looking at Structure, Finding the Question, Making A Living As An Artist and so much more… join us from Monday 22nd February where Kevin will be opening the residency with an In Conversation about his incredible career and his plans for the next three weeks.
