Thanks from the Co-Directors - 2020
Writing on the Wall extend our thanks and best wishes to the festive period to all our supporters, audiences and everyone who took part in WoWFEST in May and our Black History Month Festival in October. It’s been a hard year, with many people suffering loss and ongoing trauma, and we salute everyone, from NHS workers to those in the arts and culture sector who have shown the best side of humanity and stepped up to help others through this pandemic. We want to extend our thanks to our brilliant team who have worked tirelessly throughout the year to deliver our events and projects and use creativity to inspire and engage communities across the city region, combatting racism, isolation, loneliness and supporting mental health and wellbeing – they have been inspirational, we are thankful to work with such a committed, creative group, whose work has, for some, been lifechanging. The results show just how much their effort has paid off, as we move towards our 21stanniversary year. Thanks also to our fabulous Trustees for their support throughout the year. As we sign off for a well-earned break, we want to wish everyone best wishes for the festive season.
