£47,936 awarded by the Youth Endowment Fund to WoW
‘We are thrilled to have received funding from the Youth Endowment Fund for a new WoW Young Writers’ project. The money will allow us to extend our reach and support some of the most vulnerable young people in the city region, using writing and creativity as tool to help them grow in confidence and engage with the world around them. The pandemic has proved extremely difficult for so many young people and this funding will provide a vital space for them to share and explore their experiences through writing and spoken word.’

Writing on the Wall has been awarded £47,936 by the Youth Endowment Fund
With the funding we will create and support a WoW Young Writers Group directed at young people at risk. The group will cover a range of creative disciplines such as rap, grime, spoken word, memoir, poetry and more with participants encouraged to respond independently to the work.
The Youth Endowment Fund funds, supports and evaluates projects in England and Wales which work to prevent children and young people from being drawn into violent crime.
We are one of 130 organisations to share part of a £6.5m grant pot from the Youth Endowment Fund to help at-risk young people impacted by COVID-19.
