Pulp Idol Novel-Writing Competition

Our 2018 Pulp Idol heats are over, and we now have 12 finalists! Congratulations to Lesley Van demark, Paul Perry, Jan Cabral Jackson, Phillipa Holloway, Trisha McKeon, Jacob Riley, Kalvin Hunt, Patricia Kelly, Alistair Daniel, Steph McGill, Paul Tarpey and Matt McKeown, who will be competing to become the Pulp Idol 2018 winner.

Special thanks to the writers Debbie Morgan, Jim Friel, Sally-Anne Tapias-Bowes, John Donoghue, Jude Lennon, Clare Coombes, Helen Dring, Penny Feeny and Colin Watts who generously gave up their time to listen to judge the heats and give such valuable feedback to those who didn’t make the final. Thanks also to our wonderful volunteers – Andrew Kearns and Janet Baker – their help in setting up the heats was invaluable.

Come along to hear some excellent new novelists reading their work and support them as they compete to become the Pulp Idol 2018 winner!
