"Drawing Support: The Murals of the North of Ireland - An Illustrated Talk" by Bill Rolston

Bill Rolston
has been photographing murals in Northern Ireland since 1981, and now has an archive of around 2,000 images spanning three decades. His work on murals is lauded both within Northern Ireland and beyond, and his illustrated books entitled Drawing Support are considered to be the leading guides to the changing nature of the famous murals in the North of Ireland. A Professor of Sociology and Director of the Transitional Justice Institute at the University of Ulster, Bill is the author of a number of books, including most recently Children of the Revolution: The Lives of Sons and Daughters of Activists in Northern Ireland (2011, Guildhall Press)Bill is also a leading supporter of the Liverpool Mural Project, a group of Belfast and Liverpudlian mural artists commissioned to complete murals in Liverpool.
