Writing on the Wall’s staff team are young, dynamic, creative, hardworking, and committed to ensuring WoW’s work is of the highest quality and always engages local, diverse communities. The team have multiple skills and interest – writing, spoken word, design and publishing, festival and event organisation and delivery. Sometimes the shine individually on the projects they are assigned to, but always work as a collective to make WoW’s events professional and welcoming. This young team, with a skillset that allows them to their hand to finance, fundraising, website copy and design and social media, as well as working with the Co-Directors to develop our strategic aims, are the future of arts organisation and administration. They make a daily difference to our project participants, our partners and our festival audiences, through the inspirational projects, events, showcases and book launches they deliver every year.

Emma Hulme is now the Senior Project Manager at WoW where she leads on many successful projects, including, What's Your Story?, Superheroes: Words are our Power and many more. Shegraduated from Central School of Speech and Drama and then returned to Liverpool to work freelance with several local organisations. 

Pangea International Slam Winner Ciarán Hodgers is WoW’s Project Manager. He joined in 2017 and now leads on the co-ordination of WoWFest. He studied Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University and his book of poetry will be published in October 2018.

Alice Mason graduated from Royal Holloway, having studied Drama and Creative Writing. She joined WoW in 2017 as Administrator and Social Media Editor. She is looking to produce a WoW podcast and writes fiction in her spare time. 

Katrina Paterson is currently studying a MA in Screenwriting at John Moores University. She is WoW’s Designer and Project Assistant and enjoys screenwriting in her spare time.

Lauren Buxton joined the WoW team in 2017 as the Project and Social Media Assistant, having previously been a participant on the first Write to Work course.
